Bangladesh is seeking the extradition of ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India in August.
Dhaka has already issued an arrest warrant for the 77-year-old Hasina, who was last seen arriving in India after escaping by helicopter as crowds stormed her palace.
Interim leader Muhammad Yunus stated that his administration is focused on ensuring that those responsible for suppressing the protests that led to Hasina's ouster are held accountable.
The 84-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner was appointed to lead the government as "chief advisor" on August 9, days after the end of Hasina's 15 years of rule.
