PM Modi declares Rs 2 lakhs ex-gratia for the kin of the deceased following the Nellore tragedy
The murder of seven Telugu Desam Party activists in the stampede at TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu's public rally was mourned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
The Prime Minister's National Relief Fund would provide ex-gratia payments of Rs. 2 lakh to the surviving family members of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 to each injured person, according to PM Modi's announcement

The next of kin of each deceased person will receive an ex-gratia payment from PMNRF of Rs. 2 lakh, and each injured person would receive Rs. 50,000 "On Thursday, the Prime Minister's Office tweeted.
Police reported that seven Telugu Desam Party members were killed on Wednesday in Kandukuru, Andhra Pradesh, after a fight between party members occurred during a public assembly presided over by party leader N Chandrababu Naidu.
The nearest hospital received the injured patients.Police reported that "7 individuals have died and have been hospitalised."
Naidu pledged financial help of Rs 10 lakhs per family to the victims' relatives in the wake of the disaster.The children of those killed in the event would attend educational institutes run by the NTR Trust, according to Naidu.
