The fog is so thick that even the person in front is not visible. The Indian Metrological Department has issued an update regarding whether the cold will increase or decrease in the coming time. The experts of the weather department have told that in the first week of the new year the cold will be, even more, the weather department has issued an alert regarding this.

Dense fog will remain in these states including up and Delhi.

According to the alert given by IMD, there may be dense to very dense fog in the morning and night in the Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Lucknow districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Hilly states like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are also in the grip of fog. Dense to dense fog is likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, West Bengal, Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura for the next 2 days. Arunachal Pradesh may face fog for the last 48 hours. And there are chances of rain in many states, among them there is a possibility of snowfall along with rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, and Bageshwar of Uttarakhand.

Will the temperature drop?

Along with dense fog, there is a possibility of a drop in temperature in many states. There is a possibility dropping of 2 to 4 degree Celsius in the minimum temperature. It may have an effect in central India for the next 3 days. Cold wind and rain can be seen in many places in UP and Delhi. At the same time, a cold wave is expected to prevail in most parts of western Uttar Pradesh from January 1 to 2, 2023. There is no possibility of change in the temperature of central India as well as other states of the country for the next 2 days.
