With this, there may be light, moderate to torrential rains in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and West Uttar Pradesh on the 29th and 30th. Light, moderate isolated to scattered rain may occur over East Uttar Pradesh on the 29th and 30th and in Rajasthan on the 28th and 29th. There is a possibility of light rain in Delhi on January 29. There is also a possibility of scattered hailstorms in the western Himalayan region, Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh on the 29th and 30th. There is a possibility of scattered hailstorms in East Rajasthan on the 28th and 29th and in West Rajasthan on the 29th of January.
According to the Meteorological Department, today the minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 8 degrees and the maximum temperature is 19 degrees. Today it can be cloudy. It may rain on Sunday. Severe winter continues in Rajasthan. Due to the activation of Western Disturbance from today, there is a possibility of an increase of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature. Rain activities will increase in some parts of the state from January 28 onwards. Light to moderate rain with thunder is expected in most places except southwest Rajasthan on January 29. During this, hailstorms may also occur in some places.
Cold weather in Punjab, Haryana
Cold weather prevailed in Punjab and Haryana on Friday and Bathinda remained the coldest place in the region. According to the report of the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Bathinda of Punjab was 0.6 degree Celsius, which is five degrees below normal.
The minimum temperature in Haryana's Ambala was 7.6 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature in Hisar was 3.7 degree Celsius. In the states Karnal, Narnaul, Rohtak, Bhiwani, and Sirsa, the mercury dropped to 4.2 degrees, 3.6 degrees, six degrees, 6.6 degrees, and three degrees respectively.
