University of Lucknow organised a special session on career enhancement for the students

Institute of Tourism Studies, University of Lucknow organised a special session on career enhancement for the students on 29th June 2021. On this occasion the guest speaker Dr. Shama Mahmood, Head, Department of Medieval and Modern History spoke on how students could cultivate skills making them industry ready. The theme of her talk was "Introducing Monuments of Medieval India" from a historian's perspective as the subjects of history and tourism are closely associated. She stressed on importance of using right terminologies associated with monuments when explaining them to tourists.

Prof. Madhurima Pradhan, Director, Counselling and Guidance Cell, University of Lucknow was the chief guest of this online event. She said that CGC has been constantly organising online events to monitor the well being of students and at the same time focusing on career enhancements thereby leading to fruitful utilization of the current covid situation that has been imposed on the society especially youngsters. Dr. Anupama Srivatava, coordinator, Institute of Tourism Studies, conducted this online eevent. Other prominent members who joined the programme included Mr. S. M. H. Rizvi, Dr. Amar Tiwari, Dr. Suyash Yadav, Dr. Manisha along with students.
