'Double attack' of cold and fog

The cold wave is going on in many cities in North India. Along with the cold, the fog has also increased the difficulties of the people. This morning, there was so much fog in many areas of Delhi that there was the visibility of 4 to 5 meters. Beyond that, nothing was visible. The Meteorological Department has declared Orange Alert for Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department says that similar weather is going to prevail in Delhi for the next 24 hours. At the same time, the effect of the cold wave is also felt in the cities of UP. The temperature in many cities is below 5 degrees. People have lit bonfires on the road to avoid the cold.

Homeless getting support in shelter homes

Due to the increasing cold wave in the national capital, the number of homeless people in shelter homes has also increased significantly. Many people reached the shelter home of Sarai Kale Khan railway station to escape the cold. Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board member Vipin Rai said that we have 197 permanent shelter homes. Due to winter, we put up 250 tents in Delhi and have put up 190. Apart from mattresses, blankets, and toilets, we also provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the people. There is also a provision for their health here.

On the other hand, due to dense fog and cold waves in Bathinda city of Punjab, people are facing a lot of trouble. A local told me that there is a lot of fog in Bathinda. One is not seeing the other one, facing lot of difficulty in coming and going somewhere.
