Minister of 'Mama' got 'donation of land' from in-laws, NDTV questioned

Minister Govind Singh Rajput, who came under the scanner for the donated land, instead of answering NDTV, tried to turn off the mic.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh's Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput has received a donation from his in-laws at the age of 58. He, his wife, and two children have been given more than 50 acres of land in charity. Minister Govind Singh Rajput's brother-in-law Himachal Singh and Kartar Singh bought this land worth crores in 2021 from Kalpana Singhai in Bhapel village on Sagar-Bhopal road and donated it to the minister and his family the very next year.

The minister's in-laws' house is in Girhani village of Sagar district, 80 km away from Bhopal, but the family members left their village and bought this land at a considerable distance.

Speaking to NDTV, Congress leader Jitu Patwari said, "This can be possible only in Shivraj Singh's cabinet. The country and state should see and understand this matter. This is the same minister who gave the statement that "I am for public service. I am toppling the Congress government.

Public service is my main objective, and that's why I am going to BJP. Congress was my mother, now leaving my mother, I am adopting another mother." Now at the age of 58, his years have donated land to him. There is not a total of 100 acres of land. He gave them 50 acres of land bought in the year 2020. This makes one realize that Shivraj Singh had given permission to loot to form his government."

At the same time, another Congress leader PC Sharma said, "This is a case like illegal dowry. The land donated was unirrigated before the registry, and later it became irrigated. This is a scam. Through this scam, the revenue department was harmed."

Rajkumar Singh Dhanaura, former district president of BJP Kisan Morcha in Sagar, has also clearly made allegations of corruption in the purchase of land. Dhanaura was recently expelled from the party for 6 years.

He said, "There is a direct forgery in this. Black money has been used in this. In the name of years, the minister has hatched this conspiracy to hide his black money. It should be investigated. I demand from the government I want to act on them."

When NDTV asked questions about this Minister Govind Singh Rajput, was seen avoiding it. In response to all the questions, he said, "Tell everyone, don't panic. Will give the answer... Will give it comfortably. Will give the answer."

Even in the Congress government of Madhya Pradesh, Govind Singh Rajput used to handle the revenue ministry. But after the fall of Kamal Nath's government, he joined the BJP and is handling the same ministry in the Shivraj government as well. He is considered close to Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Right now the winter session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly is going on. In such a situation, it is expected that the Congress party can raise this issue loudly in the assembly.
