UP Weather: Alert issued for the state, eastern and western UP in the grip of dense fog, there are chances of rain

The Zonal Meteorological Center has issued yellow and orange alerts for eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. There are chances of extremely dense fog in the entire state and cold days in some places.

The entire state is currently under the grip of dense fog. On the other hand, the icy winds piercing like a spear are making the bones shiver. The fog and the winds together neutralized the sunshine and the day's mercury started to drop completely. Bareilly remained the coldest on Sunday as the day temperature dropped below normal by nine degrees. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 11.0 degrees, while the minimum temperature was 8.6 degrees. According to meteorologists, the situation is going to remain like this for the time being. There are also indications of rain on 19 and 20 January.

On the other hand, the Zonal Meteorological Center has issued yellow and orange alerts for eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. There are chances of very dense fog and cold days somewhere in the entire state. According to the weather bulletin, the maximum temperature in Lucknow was 15.3 and the minimum temperature was 6.2 degrees. On the other hand, in the districts where the temperature was the lowest after Bareilly, the maximum temperature was 12 degrees in Hardoi, it decreased by 7.5 degrees, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.5 degrees. In Lakhimpur Kheri, the nights were a bit respite at 10.1 degree Celsius, but the day temperature was also 12, which was 8.9 degrees below normal. In most of the districts of the state, the day temperature could not cross 19 degrees and due to remaining less than 20, conditions like bone-chilling cold remained. And the night temperature ranged from 3 degrees to 11.2 degrees. The minimum temperature in Fursatganj was 3 degrees. The night temperature was less than 6 degrees in Agra, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Hamirpur, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Etawah, and Kanpur City.
